EAGLESONG seeks Instruments for Katrina Victims: Eaglesong is the eighth grade “Music Team” from Sunset Ridge. They will undertake in early April a “Bring Back the Music” tour to southern Louisiana in support of the victims of Hurricane Katrina. They hope to share the joy of music and encourage the recovery of the musical community in the New Orleans area. In addition to their uplifting performances for schools, shelters and community groups Eaglesong is seeking donation of musical instruments. Donations will go to two organizations: The Grand Callou Middle School in Houma, Louisiana and New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. Both could use any kind of band or orchestra instrument. Donations of band and orchestra instruments are being accepted until Saturday, March 25th. The drop off site is St. James the Less in front of the Youth Group Bulletin Board. Your tax deductible donation will be greatly appreciated by music students in an area still rebounding from the effects of the storm.
