_Ancient worship, open minds, come and see.
We are a community gathered by our faith in Jesus Christ. Here at St. James the Less, parishioners seek to witness the powerful love of God through ministries that praise God and reach out to people in need.
As a community at worship, we seek to remember that we do not live for ourselves alone but to participate in God’s desire for the world.
Episcopalians are Anglicans in America and our worship services follow the ancient liturgies of the church using both traditional and contemporary language. All Christians, from all denominations, are welcome to receive the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, the Mass, or Holy Communion offered each week at our two principle worship services.
St. James the Less also is a community of all ages who worship God in action as well as word. Our outreach ministries strive to share our gifts to care for those on the edge of life in our village, in the city of Chicago, and in the world. There is some way for all people to participate in sharing the love of God by feeding, clothing, and walking along side those in need.
Our worship is ancient, our minds are open, all are welcome to join us in living our lives as a thank offering to God.
With you on the journey,
Lisa Senuta+
Rector
