Treble Choir/Foundations in Music Class
Treble Choir/Foundations in Music meets weekly on Thursdays from 3:30-5 p.m. Children engage in a variety of activities, including craft projects, musical games, scripture discussions, liturgical education, and of course, singing! The Treble Choir sings each Sunday at the 10 a.m. service. The children join the Choir in the loft at the Offertory, once Children's Chapel is over. This ensemble performs an anthem on average, once every 2 months; however; weekly hymns and service music is learned for Sunday services.
Foundations in Music can be taken by children who do not attend Sunday services. We ask a $20 fee from children whose families are not members of St. James the Less, to cover craft projects and supplies used throughout the year. Children from the community are welcome to use FIM as a music enrichment class.
Registration for the 2007-2008 Foundations in Music class is currently being accepted.
