Nestled beneath mature trees on the grounds of St. James the Less, our Memorial Garden is a sacred place where faith, family, and remembrance come together. More than a beautiful resting place, it remains part of the life of the church. Families often visit before or after worship or community events, finding comfort in returning to a place near where their loved ones worshiped and where the community continues to gather in prayer. For children and grandchildren, these visits become opportunities to share family stories and discover—or rediscover—the hope and belonging found in Christ and the Church. The Memorial Garden is lovingly maintained as a place of quiet reflection. Benches invite visitors to linger beneath mature trees, while the nearby Memorial Garden Meadow blooms with native prairie plants that attract butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Summer evenings sparkle with fireflies, and winter snow blankets the garden with a peaceful beauty that quietly proclaims the hope of the resurrection.
Perpetual Care
The Memorial Garden is cared for by a dedicated committee of parishioners and supported by a perpetual care endowment, ensuring that this sacred space will continue to be maintained with dignity and love for generations to come.

- Burial plot price through December 31, 2026: $1,000
- Burial plot price beginning January 1, 2027: $2,000
- Available to: Members of St. James and their families
- Perpetual care: Supported by a dedicated endowment
