Helping to Feed Our Community

What can you do? Tend your own garden plot, if you have one. No plot of your own, then come and help care for the plots growing food to be given to the Northfield Food Pantry.

Enjoy a piece of God's Creation as we work in community.

Welcome Our Garden
The Community Food Garden is for everyone!  Many hands make light work -- there are tasks and responsibilities for every skill level!

Family Plots & Pantry Plots
Family plots are tended by families and individuals every year for the purpose of growing fresh fruits and vegetables for their personal use. Pantry plots are tended by everyone, and 100% of the produce grown in these plots goes to the Northfield Township Food Pantry. To reserve a family plot, please call the Parish Office.

Past & Future of Our Garden
We removed dead trees and opened up space to add more community garden and pantry plots. We have discussed ideas that include: a green house for year round food production, a storage shed, a meditation garden, and many other features. Our garden was featured in the Winnetka Talk section of the Chicago Tribune.
