Lenten Observances
Wednesdays in Lent
The Poetry of Lent: A Lenten Companion to Mary Oliver's Devotions
Every journey needs a guide - and what better guide to the 40 days of Lent than the beloved poet, Mary Oliver? Winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, Oliver is widely celebrated as an accessible, insightful observer of the natural world, the life of faith, and the interplay between the two.
Join us Wednesday evenings in Lent for a light super, prayer, and spiritual discussion. We will be using the booklet, The Poetry of Lent: A Lenten Companion to Mary Oliver's Devotions, along with Scripture readings and poems by Mary Oliver. Copies of the book of poetry, Devotions, are available for a donation of $15.00. Booklets with the reading and poetry are also available.
Wednesdays, February 21 & 28; March 6, 13 & 20
5:30 p.m. -- Dinner in the Parish Hall
6:00 p.m. -- Discussion led by Mother Megan
6:45 - 7:00 p.m. -- Compline
